Applications Electromagnetic locks are commonly used in: - Office buildings (for main entrances or restricted areas) - Hospitals and healthcare facilities (to secure sensitive zones) - Schools and universities (for controlled access) - Data centers (to protect critical infrastructure) - Emergency exits (when paired with fire alarm systems for compliance) Considerations While electromagnetic locks offer many benefits, they require a constant power supply to remain locked. Backup power solutions (e.g., batteries or UPS) may be necessary for critical applications. Additionally, proper installation and alignment between the electromagnet and armature plate are crucial for optimal performance.
